Why Momentum?

Meet Scott Wetzel: Your Expert Fitness Coach

Owner/Head Coach

Scott is a certified and experienced strength and fitness coach with experience working with all ages, fitness and skill levels, as well as injuries and constraints. Scott graduated with an Exercise Science degree from Montclair State University where he played fullback for the Red Hawks, and was the head of the Sports Conditioning sector of the Exercise Science Club. He has experience with Rutgers University’s Olympic Sports program as well as coached for several private facilities in the state of New Jersey. He currently runs and facilitates the strength and conditioning programs for all sports at Holmdel High School. Scott has been a lifetime resident of Freehold and has a mission to serve the members of his community.

Personalized Adult Fitness Training

Our Adult Fitness program consists of semi-private sessions with a 1:5 client to coach ratio to ensure each individual receives training specific to them, with the camaraderie and environment of a group session. Clients will each receive a training program specific to them and will be coached and guided through it with exceptional service and expertise. These programs are individualized to each clients goals and needs.

These programs consist of some form of mobility training, strength training, as well as aerobic fitness training in modalities best fit for the individual.

Additionally, upon sign-up, clients will be able to receive free consultations to discuss and ensure their program is in line with their fitness, weight loss, and nutrition goals, as well as formulate strategies to best guide them towards where they want to be.

Tailored Sports Performance Programs

Our Sports Performance program consists of 1-on-1, semi-private, and group/team training. Our sports performance programs are designed specifically for each athletes needs, goals and the demands of their sport/position. We utilize performance testing and movement analysis to structure our programs specific to each individual. With these performance tests, we assign key performance indicators (KPI’s) to track and measure throughout the program to ensure our training is moving the athlete in their desired direction.

These sessions consist of mobility training, speed (both linear and multi-directional), plyometrics, strength training, and conditioning.

These programs are designed for all ages and experience levels.
